I think I just shot my last job of 2006, a commecial for Comcast, Charles Jensen was the director... 2006 was a rocking year, I hope 2007 keeps up the pace!

Confession: I'm highly geeked over Jim Jannard's new 4K digital camera project. It was announced around one year ago and has progressed nicely. If everything goes as planned they should be shipping the first ones in 6 months. Check out the sample footage! www.red.com

I've Just been informed that the video that I shot for Marc Maggiori for his band Plemo, is nominated for the "Victories de la Musique" best video award. One of six videos... Award show is in Paris on Feb 28. Below are some frames from the clip.

12/08/2006 SANTIAGO CHILE PT2

Here's some shots from the shoot. The Kid/Actor is so happy because El Rafa bought him that bike, it took about 10 minutes to convince him that it was not a mean joke and he could really take it home with him. Mark Snellgrove, wearing the blue suit and sitting next to me on the camera car designed and operated the "Huevo". It worked perfectly.

Marc M. in his desire to smash cliche's about Paris, has found some un-french locations in the 19th Arrondisment. It's the Paris where they burn cars to protest life itself. We ran into some homeboys who were not happy that we were there taking pictures. I hope they are still asleep when we show up with all the trucks, generators, cameras and lights! Maybe they will torch a Peugot for us?.

Just worked with a great crew in Dallas, Buck and Angelo, they are buddies with Vincent Wrenn who Best Boy Electric's for me sometimes in LA.

9/30/2006 SHARPLY FOCUSSED ON UKRAINIAN LENS DEAL

Some new Russian lenses will be arriving soon. This set of CKBK high-speed Primes is on it's way to me from Kiev. I'm going to re-mount them to PL. These are sharp contrasty lenses that flare in the most beautiful way. I had a friend's set for a time until he moved to SF.

We did a shoot for Mistubishi using a Milo motion-control rig, directed by Todd Treanor. Here are some pix.... The final spots should be cool, I'll post them when I get them.

8/29//2006 BILOXI MS

I shot a Home Depot commercial for Greg Hughs of BL!P in Austin TX. It was a doco setup, 16mm and 35mm for some b-roll. We filmed 300 volunteers rebuilding a park in Biloxi, Mississippi that was wiped out by hurricane Katrina. It was eye opening to see the destruction of the hurricane first hand, EVERYTHING on the coast was destroyed.

It was a very hot and dusty day...

8/20/2006 MR TOAST IS MY CO-PILOT

We can all learn a lot about resilience from Mr Toast.... This is Mr Toast #3. #1 Died of a nasty head injury, #2 was attacked by seagulls and washed into the ocean. Despite all these indignities he still appears to be very happy and relaxed.
